Unique & Flavorful New Easter Dessert Arrives at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Jambo! MickeyBloggers are over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge this morning, as we’ve heard there’s an exciting new Easter treat on the menu over at The Mara.
Come with us, and we’ll see what we can find!
The Mara is an awesome quick service dining location at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and there are always delicious and unique treats to be found on their menu.
With it being Easter week, we were sure we’d find something inspired by the season, and we weren’t disappointed!
Look at that sign on the service counter – how intriguing does that dessert look? We’d better place an order to take a closer look!
Behold: the Raspberry Fields dessert, a beautiful new addition to The Mara’s menu!
And wow, she sure is photogenic!
This spectacular dessert is rather unlike anything we have ever seen before, which makes it all the more irresistible.
I’m not going to lie, the only thing familiar to me when looking at the dessert was that raspberry on top! I can’t wait to find out what the dessert consists of.
So, what we have here is a pistachio financier, filled with raspberry gelée, lemon curd, and topped with white chocolate glaçage. Yum!
Now, I took the liberty of googling some of those fancy culinary terms, and I’m going to share my findings here for the benefit of anyone else who is unsure like I was!
As much as it sounds like a job role in accounting, a “financier” is a type of French almond cake. “Glaçage” is another word for “icing,” and “gelée” is my new favorite way of spelling “jelly.”
This Raspberry Fields dessert cost $5.99. Will you be stopping by The Mara to try it for yourself?
