EPCOT Guest Relations Refurbishments Moving Along
With construction moving along at EPCOT, it becomes ever-more exciting to share the week’s progress. After a sudden shift in walkways and border walls a couple of weeks ago, work on the park’s Guest Relations building appear to be inspired by some out-of-this-world urgency.
The pace in which the work continues to move seems fitting with the intergalactic new attraction, “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind,” opening at the end of next month. Reopening the walkway toward the soon-to-be must-do attraction in World Discovery would help with crowds control. With Marvel fans ready, thousands are expected to visit the park to be some of the first to ride in the long-awaited attraction’s opening days.
The walkway and the building also border the new Connections Eatery and Cafe, also set to open this Spring. Today, we noticed that the upper level pillar appeared to be receiving a needed refurbishment. Just last week, this entire column found itself wrapped in scaffolding, so it was a great surprise to see it already removed.
A Tucked Away, Temporary Locale for Guest Relations
As the building undergoes an update to bring it into the thematic designs that now define World Celebration, Guest Relations currently sits in a temporary location. To find that tucked away spot, guests need not venture too far from the opening gates. In fact, Guest Relations currently sits just to the right of the entrance once inside of the park.
Signs are placed guiding guests to the current Guest Relations location. The easiest way to find the way is certainly to first locate the meet-and-greet location often used by iconic characters just in front of Pin Traders and Spaceship Earth.
