Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel is NOW Open!
Today was a momentous occasion over at Tokyo Disney Resort as their Toy Story Hotel is now officially open!
This new resort property has 595 guest rooms and is 11 stories tall. It is also the fifth Disney-themed accommodation at Tokyo Disney Resort and its first Moderate Class Resort.
From the moment that guests arrive you will feel immediately immersed in the colorful world of Toy Story with familiar faces like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the gang. Walt Disney Imagineers and Pixar Animation Studios collaborated on this project. Similar to Toy Story Land in Walt Disney World it is scaled in such a way that it will make guests feel as if you’ve shrunk to the size of one of Andy’s beloved toys.
In the hotel’s front plaza you’ll find the Slinky Dog Park which celebrates the fun of playing with toys. You’ll discover oversized toy action figures like Buzz and Jessie that are over 12 feet tall and standing on an enormous Slinky Dog game board.
The lobby has lots of fun features including slot cars racing overhead, a giant Bo Peep game board on the ceiling and puzzle pieces used to decorate the floor!
Off the lobby you’ll also find Gift Planet, a shop run by Aliens where you can purchase exclusive Toy Story Hotel merchandise.
The theming continues through the elevators and hallways. The property consists of two distinct wings. One side is themed after Buzz Lightyear and the other side is Woody’s Roundup.
The guest rooms are reminiscent of Andy’s own bedroom with that iconic cloud motif. The television sets are even giant Etch-A-Sketches.
For hungry visitors there is the Lotso Garden Cafe themed after the strawberry-scented bear. Here you’ll find a buffet serving up delicious food including desserts inspired by Toy Story. The colorful dining area will also feature murals depicting Lotso along with smiling fruits and vegetables!
Around the back of the property you’ll find and oversized Hamm operating a toy crane hoisting his Alien friends. This is the entrance to Toy Friends Square. This area celebrates the importance of friendship. Here you’ll encounter oversized figures of Woody and Bo Peep.
This brand new Toy Story Hotel joins Tokyo Disney Resort’s three existing deluxe resorts- Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Disney Ambassador Resort and Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta. There’s also the value resort Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel.
Toy Story Hotel is located just across the street from Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line monorail.
