Walt Disney World 50th Funko Pops!, Including Cinderella Castle, Now Available Online
Funko is continuing the golden celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort with even more of the 50th anniversary Funko Pops! being released online.
With some of the Funkos already being released for the 50th celebration, and others being held back until later this year, we have the rundown on the newest wave of the collectible figures.
Walt Disney World 50th Castle and Mickey Mouse – $39.99
The Funko castle that came under much controversy has been officially released on the shopDisney website, after hitting stores in the Walt Disney World Resort earlier this year.
Many fans took notice of the mold that was used to create Cinderella Castle was actually the exact same mold that was used for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle previously, just with a different paint job.
In light of this revelation, Disney is now describing the castle as “Fantasyland Castle” in the description of the item, while keeping the name of Cinderella Castle on the box.
This particular figure with a golden Mickey Mouse is exclusive to Disney and comes with a purchasing limit of 2 per guest.
PhilharMagic Mickey Mouse – $11.99
Celebrate the “Kingdom’s most magical musical revue” with the PhilharMagic Mickey Mouse Funko.
Maestro Mickey can be seen complete with the infamous sorcerer hat that engulfs the Magic Kingdom show, as well as his conductor baton.
The PhilharMagic Mickey Mouse will be released and shipped on April 11th, with Amazon allowing pre-orders now.
Mickey Mouse on the PeopleMover – $11.99
Even Mickey knows that the best place to relax in the suffocating Florida sun is the Tomorrowland PeopleMover!
He can be seen in this Funko celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort in sunglasses, a vest and t-shirt- definitely more suitable Florida attire than his regular suit!
This Funko is available to preorder now on Amazon, with the item being released and shipped on April 11th.
Although the PeopleMover set is completed by Minnie Mouse and Pluto on the beloved Tomorrowland attraction, those two additions will not be released until this June.
(I can’t decide if to release them separately instead of altogether is a brilliant move on Funko’s part, or someone dropped the ball with release dates).
Walt Disney World 50th Space Mountain and Mickey Mouse – $34.99
No celebration surrounding Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom is complete without a tribute to Space Mountain– which first soared guests through outer space on the East Coast before expanding to the other Disney parks across the globe.
Mickey can be seen in a spacesuit resembling the one he wore at Space Mountain’s opening ceremony in front of the iconic show building that houses the attraction- complete with attraction signage!
Space Mountain with Mickey Mouse Super Deluxe Pop Ride – $29.99
The love for Space Mountain doesn’t stop just yet, with a Funko of Mickey in his spacesuit taking flight in the rocketship ride vehicle.
Funko really paid attention to detail, with the ride vehicle looking the exact same as those used on the opening day of this attraction in January of 1975.
No specific date is given for the release of this Funko beyond “April 2022”.
Pirates of the Caribbean Dog with Keys – $11.99
Now is your chance to own the cutest pup amount the seven seas with the Pirates of the Caribbean dog Funko!
As with the Mickey Mouse onboard Space Mountain Funko, this one does also not have a specific date of release beyond “April 2022” as quoted on Entertainment Earth’s website.
