Disney Updates Genie+ Verbiage to Improve Guests Experiences and Expectations
Yesterday Disney updated the Disney Genie+, $15 tier verbiage on their website. When Disney Genie+ launched last year, the $15 tier stated that guests could secure Lightning Lane reservations throughout their day, on a rolling basis.
Now that the system has been in place for several months, Disney is changing the verbiage on their website to better manage guests expectations when purchasing Genie+.
Expect to Access “2-3 Attraction Per Day”
Although the website never specifically stated so, guests were under the impression that they’d be able to access all (or almost all) of the attractions using Lightning Lane reservations during their Park days when the service launched. Now, they’ve updated it to state that guests should only expect to access 2-3 attractions per day. Here’s how the updated verbiage it worded on Disney’s website:
With the Parks more crowded more than ever and demand for the paid service has increased, guests have only been able to access between 2-3 attractions per day using the paid $15 tier. That’s far fewer than guests originally thought based on Disney’s initial marketing, and less than what the free FastPass+ system guaranteed.
Disney’s updated verbiage is smart in trying to better manage what guests should expect in the Theme Parks, but will it deter more guests from purchasing Disney Genie+ going forward? Leave a comment and let us know what you think!
