Walt Disney World Wait Times for Fourth Week of March 2022
Is it Spring Break? The answer depends entirely on where you live.
Since Spring Break varies across North America, we’re tracking the various ripple effects over the next few weeks.
Here are the Walt Disney World wait times for the fourth week of March in 2022. Was it the big Spring Break week? Let’s find out!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We will start the right way this week after a pleasant surprise last time.
Avatar Flight of Passage dropped for the second straight week, averaging a tolerable 94 minutes. That’s 16 minutes less than the previous article.
We won’t know anything for sure until we get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Still, based on this information alone, I’m not expecting a significant Spring Break factor now.
The only way this behavior would be so anomalous is if people just skipped Animal Kingdom over the past week, which they really shouldn’t do.
Here are the other wait times at the park:
- Na’vi River Journey – 79 minutes, up 9
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 70 minutes, down 5
- Kali River Rapids – 41 minutes, down 1
- DINOSAUR – 38 minutes, up 5
- TriceraTop Spin – 22 minutes, no change
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 15 minutes, up 1
The average park attraction required a wait of 51 minutes, down 1 minute from last time.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The news at Hollywood Studios starts similarly positively.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance fell 14 minutes to 137 minutes. That’s the lowest average for it in several weeks.
I mean, it’s still nearly two hours and 20 minutes, but I swear that’s good for Disney’s most popular ride right now.
Here’s the rest of Hollywood Studios:
- Twilight Zone of Terror – 124 minutes, down 6
- Slinky Dog Dash – 115 minutes, down 8
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 85 minutes, down 3
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – 84 minutes, down 14
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 78 minutes, down 4
- Toy Story Mania! – 76 minutes, down 4
- Alien Swirling Saucers – 44 minutes, down 6
- Red Carpet Dreams – 30 minutes, up 2
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 30 minutes, down 5
- Celebrity Spotlight – 15 minutes, no change
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy – 14 minutes, down 5
- Muppet*Vision 3D – 10 minutes, no change
The average Hollywood Studios ride came with a wait of 57 minutes, down three minutes from last time.
For whatever reason, Hollywood Studios has gained the fewest benefits from the new Lightning Lane/Disney Genie+ system. As a result, its wait times remain relatively high.
Disney should probably take some steps here to stop seven different attractions averaging a wait of 75+ minutes. That’s…too much. And this was a SLOW week!
EPCOT
The top two attractions at EPCOT remain Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After. Frankly, I don’t see anything changing soon, either.
This past week, Ratatouille averaged a wait of 101 minutes, down 11 minutes from last week. I’d make a binary joke here, but you’re lucky enough not to get it.
Anyway, Frozen Ever After came with a wait of 95 minutes, down four minutes from last time. So the switch to Disney Genie+ does appear to be helping.
Here are the other attractions at EPCOT:
- Test Track – 66 minutes, down 14
- Soarin’ Around the World – 46 minutes, down 2
- Mission: SPACE – 35 minutes, down 4
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends – 33 minutes, down 11
- Spaceship Earth – 31 minutes, up 3
- Living with the Land – 25 minutes, down 1
- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 24 minutes, up 6
- Turtle Talk with Crush – 18 minutes, up 7
- Royal Sommerhus – 17 minutes, up 1
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – 12 minutes, down 2
Overall, EPCOT attractions averaged a wait of 41 minutes, down two minutes from last time.
Heading into Magic Kingdom, we’re relatively static from last time, although the attractions and trending ever so slightly downward.
I think we’ve found the baseline for an average early Spring visit these days.
Magic Kingdom
Of course, Magic Kingdom could always blow the curve. Here are the wait times at the Most Magical Place on Earth:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – 110 minutes, up 6
- Jungle Cruise – 88 minutes, down 4
- Peter Pan’s Flight – 80 minutes, up 4
- Splash Mountain – 76 minutes, up 10
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 64 minutes, up 4
- Space Mountain – 62 minutes, down 3
- Haunted Mansion – 60 minutes, down 3
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – 52 minutes, down 8
- Astro Orbiter – 52 minutes, up 2
- Pirates of the Caribbean – 51 minutes, up 1

- The Barnstormer – 37 minutes, down 3
- Princess Fairytale Hall – 33 minutes, down 2
- Tomorrowland Speedway – 31 minutes, down 5
- Mad Tea Party – 28 minutes, down 2
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor – 20 minutes, down 2
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover – 19 minutes, down 7
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel – 18 minutes, down 6
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic – 17 minutes, up 3
- Town Square Theater – 15 minutes, up 4
- Country Bear Jamboree – 11 minutes, down 3
- Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress – 5 minutes, always 5 minutes
At Magic Kingdom, attractions averaged a wait of 43 minutes, up a minute from last time. So, we’re looking at the status quo for the moment.
Yes, Spring Break will change the situation whenever it finally happens.
I also suspect that the late date of Easter this year will tilt the scale more toward April vacations.
