CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Covering of Canopies Continues on TRON Coaster
Its a beautiful morning at Magic Kingdom and we’ve popped over to Tomorrowland to give you a quick update on how construction is going on the TRON coaster.
As you can see work continues on covering the massive outdoor canopy structure.
At this point around 3/4s of the canopy is covered and it looks magnificent.
The area surrounding the coaster is still very much a construction site. However, we did get good news last week in that the Walt Disney World Railroad is now being tested.
The railroad has been down for the duration of the TRON construction so this news makes us excited that we are getting close to completion of TRON Lightcycle.
We will continue to pop by Tomorrowland to update you as we head into Summer.
If you’ll be visiting the park on your own, you can get great views from the viewing area of the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Another great spot is the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
As of going to print, Disney has yet to announce an official opening date for the attraction.
We expect that Imagineers will update us soon with this info!
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further Walt Disney World news and updates! We’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks each and every week.
