‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Becomes Third Film In History to Make $800 Million at Domestic Box Office
Spider-Man: No Way Home has reached another important movie milestone. It has become the third film EVER to gross $800 million at the North American box office.
According to a recent piece in The Wrap, the biggest box office hit of the COVID era earned an addition$1.7 million this weekend in theaters. It now joins Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avengers: Endgame as the only movies to reach that benchmark in US and Canada.

If you were following along with MickeyBlog at the end of 2021, you’ll also know that Spider-Man: No Way Home had an impressive opening weekend at the box office earning $260 million. That put it in second place to The Force Awakens in highest grossing opening weekend.
Globally, it is more of the same, the film has a worldwide box office total of $1.88 billion putting it in 6th place on the all-time charts and in the top spot when it comes to an international release without opening in China. This of course was due to the pandemic with the majority of Chinese theaters still closed at the time that Spider-Man was released.

Sony intends to keep the Spider-Man momentum going with Spider-Man:Across the Spider-Verse which is slated to be released this fall.
