Cultural Representative Program This Summer to Disney, World Showcase in EPCOT
One of my favorite parts of visiting EPCOT and making my away around the World Showcase has always been interacting with the Cultural Representatives from around the globe. When COVID started to take grasp on the world two years ago, Disney suspended their International Programs including the Cultural Representative Program while sending all of those Cast Members back to their home countries.
Well, the time has come and Walt Disney World will begin a phased approach to restart this popular program with the first Cultural Representatives returning to the World Showcase in EPCOT this August!

Per Disney, “The Cultural Representatives play an important role in storytelling by helping us create authentic, immersive experiences for our guests as they share their countries’ culture, heritage and traditions that have inspired our resorts, pavilions, and theme parks.”
Disney will be reaching out first to those Cultural Representatives whose time in the Parks was cut short during 2020 or those who never even had a chance to start the program.

The first phase of Cultural Representatives that will be welcome back will be those from Germany, Norway, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada for positions in EPCOT’s World Showcase. Per Disney, reps from other countries will be invited to join the program from other counties “once they clear travel restrictions and/or have CDC-authorized vaccine availability.
In addition of the Cultural Representative Program returning, Disney recently restarted their popular Disney College Program with much fan-fare. Participants of both programs are offered housing at the all-new, high-tech Flamingo Crossings Village located just outside the Walt Disney World Resort.
