Happy Ending: Rachel Zegler Invited to Present at Sunday’s Oscars
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you may have seen our story earlier this week that West Side Story lead Rachel Zegler commented on social media that despite the film in which she starred earning a Best Picture nomination, she was not invited to the Oscars. This oversight naturally drew a lot of media attention and it looks like not even a resolution!
According to a piece in The Hollywood Reporter, Zegler (who will also be appearing in the upcoming live-action version of Disney’s Snow White) has been contacted by the Academy and was invited to present an award at the ceremony which will be broadcast on ABC this coming Sunday (March 23, 2022.)

Zegler is currently in London where shooting is underway for Snow White. However, THR said that the studio is currently looking at making adjustments to the shooting schedule so that Zegler can attending this Sunday’s event.
After her initial post about being slighted by the Oscar’s went viral and drew the attention of many fans and Hollywood insiders, Zegler took to Twitter to thanks supporters:
my goodness, folks!! appreciate all the support, i really really do. we live in such unprecedented times, and a lot of work behind the scenes goes into making movie magic happen. that goes for film productions (like the one I am so lucky to be currently shooting in london)…
