Things just got a little bit more Dapper on Main Street U.S.A today.
In yet another sign that things are slowly getting ‘Back to Normal’ at the Most Magical Place on Earth, the beloved barbershop quartet, the Dapper Dans are once again performing in this main thoroughfare in the Magic Kingdom.
We managed to get some incredible footage of one of their performances this afternoon.
It was so incredible to see these amazing performers in their colorful suits harmonizing, tap dancing and charming their way into our Disney days once again.
Though performance times may change, currently this is what the Dapper Dan performance schedule looks like:
- 9:55 AM
- 10:35 AM
- 11:20 AM
- 2:15 PM
- 3:40 PM
Each Dapper Dans performance runs for 20 minutes.
During their performance, the Dapper Dans will take you through a fun array of American Standards.
Songs you might hear include:
- “Yankee Doodle Dandy”
- “Strolling Through the Park”
- “Mr. Sandman”
- “If You’re Happy and You Know It”
- “Zip-a-Dee Doo Dah”
For those wondering where to catch the Dapper Dans, the are at the start of Main Street U.S.A near the Fire Department and City Hall.
Guests should note that performances are weather dependent.
You’ll definitely want to have your cameras at the ready to capture one of their colorful performances!
Did you know that the Dapper Dans have been bringing their musical stylings to Magic Kingdom since the park first opened back on October 1, 1971?
Its so good to have them back as Disney World celebrates its 50th Anniversary.
You’ll see them in these images with their Deagan Organ Chimes which have been an integral part of the performance since their debut.
The Dapper Dans were originally formed on the West Coast back in 1959 where they made their debut at Disneyland in Southern California.
If you arrive at Magic Kingdom early in the morning, you may just catch the Dapper Dans on the Main Street Trolley welcoming you to the parks.
Each evening, the Dans join other performers including Security Color Guard as well as the Main Street Philharmonic for the Flag Retreat Ceremony.
During that moving ceremony, Disney picks and active or retired member of the US military to lower the Magic Kingdom plan for the day.
