Masks Will Be Optional on Select Walt Disney World Transportation Options Starting Tomorrow
As we continue the march towards “normalcy,” Walt Disney World has just announced that starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 16, masks will now be optional for fully-vaccinated Guests on two modes of transportation.
First, masks will be optional for fully-vaccinated Guests on Walt Disney World’s Disney Skyliner. The Disney Skyliner connects Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
In addition to the Disney Skyliner, masks will also be optional for fully-vaccinated Guests staying on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser for transportation to and from Batuu from the Halycon.
It was just about a month ago that Walt Disney World dropped their mask mandate for fully-vaccinated Guests in all indoor locations including ride queues. At that time, masks were still required for all Guests, regardless of vaccination status, on Disney buses, the Disney Skyliner, and the Monorail.

With today’s announcement masks will continue to be required for all Walt Disney World Guests while on Disney buses and on the Walt Disney World Monorail.
