Central Florida Braces for Some Bad Weather This Morning With Tornado Watch In Effect

If you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World this morning than you’ll want to pay close attention to the weather forecast.  According to various local networks, including Fox 35, Central Florida is currently under a tornado watch until 11 am. 

The morning of bad weather is due to a strong cold front moving from the north into central Florida this morning.

Those heading to the parks first thing this morning may encounter heavy rain and gusty winds.

Above is a look at current satellite weather conditions from WFTV Channel 9.  

It should be noted that the Tornado Watch, extends from counties in north Central Florida down to Orange and Seminole Counties.  According to Fox, as the storm moves along it will arrive in Marion and Lake Counties by 9am and Orange and Volusia Counties by 11 am.  By the time it hits Brevard County in early afternoon it will start to clear out. 

Though calmer weather is expected for this afternoon, morning temperatures tomorrow are expected to be in the 30s and 40s.  There will be a Wind Chill Advisory until 9am on Sunday morning with temperatures feeling like 2 degrees.  That means if you’re heading to the theme parks tomorrow be sure to layer your clothing!
