5 Reasons to Book a Disney Cruise
Disney has several destinations to choose from when planning a vacation. Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani in Hawaii, Adventures by Disney, and Disney Cruise Line give family options. Spring 2022 is a great time to plan a Disney Cruise. Here are 5 reasons to book a Disney Cruise right now.
1. Specials and Flexibility
Disney Cruise Line currently has some promotions for Spring cruises. Florida Residents can save up to 35% off select sailings. Canadian Residents can save up to 30% along with Military personnel. The general public can save up to 25% on select sailings. With the discounts currently, Disney Cruise Line is becoming comparable in pricing to Walt Disney World. Disney Cruise Line also has half off deposits for cruises booked by March 11, 2022.

Another option to save money is to book a guaranteed room. Guaranteed rooms can save substantial money. The drawback is guaranteed rooms do not allow you to book a particular room. You book a category such as Oceanview, inside, or verandah. Guaranteed rooms also cannot be changed or cancelled and have to be paid in full upon booking.

Disney is currently allowing guests to move their sailing without penalty due to the pandemic. For sailings through 5/31/22, guests can change their sail date up to 15 days prior to their sailing without penalty. The cruise must be rescheduled prior to 5/31/23.
2. Disney Cruise Line has Relaxed Face Masks
Disney Cruise Line announced this week that they are relaxing their face mask policy. The face masks changes take effect on sailings that embark March 11 and beyond. The new rules will only require masks in the Walt Disney Theater. Guests under 5 who are ineligible to be vaccinated will be required to wear masks in Youth Activity spaces and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

3. Dining
When comparing pricing with other Disney destinations, Disney Cruise Line includes all food and most nonalcoholic drinks. Food pricing can add up at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The great thing about Disney Cruise Line is the food is included. Guests will use rotational dining for dinner but also have other options throuhgout the day.
While on board guests can enjoy buffet, quick service, or the table service dining options. Room service is also included in your fare. Guests can enjoy unlimited snacks, ice cream, and soda. Disney Cruise Line includes unlimited soft drinks compared to other Cruise Lines where this is an upcharge.
Several of the ships also include dinner shows. The Disney Magic includes a Rapunzel dinner show while the Wonder has a Tiana New Orleans themed show. The new Disney Wish will include a Frozen dinner show sure to delight guests.
4. Activities on Board
Disney Cruise Line guests will never be bored. Activities are scheduled throughout the day to keep all guests occupied. Broadway style shows are sure to impress adults and children alike. Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Tangled, and The Little Mermaid are featured on the different ships.
Water slides and pools are also included on each ship. Each ship has a fitness center, spa, and basketball courts.
The Dream and Fantasy also have miniature golf. Bingo is another popular activity for guests. The Navigator app will list all the activities available to guests throughout the day.
5. Kid’s Club
One of my favorite parts of a Disney Cruise are the free kid’s clubs. When traveling with small children, it’s amazing to be able to enjoy adult only time while your children enjoy the children’s club. Each ship has a detailed and interactive kid’s club.
The Oceaneers Lab and Club is offered for children ages 3-12. Edge is offered for teenagers aged 11-14, and Vibe is offered for teens ages 14-17. Kids of all ages are sure to find activities to enjoy. The Small World Nursery is available for guests under age 3 but is currently suspended due to COVID.
Disney Cruise Line has unique adult only sections of the ship where adults can escape for some relaxation while children are enjoying the kid’s club.
