Minnie Mouse Blooms at Disneyland Park!
To celebrate Women’s History Month, Disneyland has transformed the floral entry to the park. Now, Minnie Mouse blooms at Disneyland Park!
For the first time in the park’s history, Minnie Mouse graces the floral display in front of the Disneyland Main Street railroad station.
This iconic entrance has always featured Mickey Mouse. The house was, after all, started by a mouse.
But let’s not forget that Minnie Mouse has been with Mickey from the very beginning!
In the very first animated short to feature Mickey Mouse, Steamboat Willie, we also met Minnie Mouse!
So it is only fitting that she is now welcoming guests to The Happiest Place on Earth.
Floral transformation
The horticulture team – let’s call them artists! – at Disneyland worked together overnight to transform the floral entrance to Disneyland.
From midnight until 6 a.m. the team worked to install the new floral entrance, designed by horticulture specialist Stacy Wise.
The horticulture team shared these fun facts about the floral:
- The traditional floral design includes over 1,750 individual plants
- Minnie Mouse’s bow consists of approximately 750 individual plants, known as Nemesia
- The swirls on either side of Minnie Mouse contain over 1,900 individual plants, including pansies, violas and petunias

Guests are excited to see Minnie Mouse in full bloom at Disneyland!
Even the horticulture team who transformed the entrance are star struck. They can’t wait to share their hard work with their families.
Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month – commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.
As Minnie Mouse blooms at Disneyland this March, let’s pay tribute to all the great women who have made (and continue to make, every day) Disneyland as magical as it is!
Here are just a few women who have impacted Disneyland history:
- Mary Blair
- Harriet Burns
- Alice Davis
- Lillian Disney
- Kim Irvine
- Dorothea Redmond
