Tron Nears the Finish Line, Tomorrowland Progression
As you know, MickeyBlog keeps a close eye on the Tron construction. Now, it appears that the canopy is completely installed on one side of the attraction. This increases excitement as Tron nears the finish line, especially since a thrill ride to this capacity has never been in the Magic Kingdom before.

Traditionally, people consider the Magic Kingdom as the most magical park. It’s the place kids believe they are princesses or knights, where everyone meets iconic Disney characters, and it is full of family-friendly attractions (perfect for kids of all ages).
However, Tron Lightcycle/Run may slightly change this perception. Guests have said for years that the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland needs some updates. Although we love Tomorrowland attractions, how futuristic are rides that fling you into space or spin you around on a pretend spaceship?
Welcome, Tron!
Tron may change all that though! Soon, Tomorrowland will have a full-fledged roller coaster that is part indoor and part outdoor. Now, this is the future!
MickeyBlogger Jared took a trip around the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) PeopleMover. He took some great shots of the canopy finished on one side of the attraction. Indeed, Tron nears the finish line, and Imagineers will complete the coaster before we know it!
That is, hopefully, construction will finish soon. After all, Tron construction has been ongoing since September 2020. It was initially scheduled to open alongside The World’s Most Magical Celebration. Who knows? Maybe Disney will announce an opening date sooner than later.
