How to Make Your Own Animal-Inspired Candle at Animal Kingdom
It’s time to get wild! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is offering a unique candle making experience unlike any other on Property. This candle making experience is one-of-a-kind as it’s offered right in the heart of the bustling Theme Park!
Guests of all ages are encouraged to participate in the make-your-own candle experience located under the awning of Discovery Trading Company. Each guest sits at a prepared station that is complete with a jar for your candle, scent oils, paints, brushes, and a wick.
With the experience, guests receive a blank glass candle jar and are encouraged to let their artistic sides run wild when creating the design. Of course animal-inspired designs are perfect for the location, but you can paint anything your heart desires on your candle!
Next, participants design their own scent as they can mix the scented oils to create something they can’t wait to burn at home.
Since the oils don’t ever dry or harden, wax is introduced with the scent of your choosing and the whole mixture is then poured into your hand-painted jar. You can even throw in some confetti colors to make your candle wax pop!
From beginning to end, this $25 experience lets guests really take charge of the entire process! This is a fantastic experience to do mid-day when the Park crowds are at their peak and the sun is beating down. The shaded area is perfect for adults, kids, and youngsters (with the help of a parent) to kick back in the shade and actually MAKE a Disney souvenir!
