Disney’s Newsies Set to Run in London’s West End in 2022!
Have we got a headline for you! It has been confirmed this week that Disney’s iconic musical Newsies is set to run in London, UK this year!

That’s right, Newsies will be carrying the banner in London’s West End, bringing the beloved songs and incredible choreography over to the UK for the first time ever. King of New York? King of West End, more like!
Newsies is an incredible musical based on the 1992 Disney movie, inspired by real-life events surrounding the newsboys’ strike of 1899. Opening on Broadway in 2012 after a run at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, the show has made sure the world will know the importance of having something to believe in, and standing up for those rights!
So far, very little has been announced about this upcoming performance. All we know is that it will take place in London at some point in 2022, and excited fans can sign up for updates and priority booking on the show’s official website here. We can’t wait to watch what happens next!

London may not be Santa Fe, but the UK has been very lucky with lots of Disney on Stage productions opening up over the past year. Frozen made its West End debut in 2021, whilst productions of Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Beauty and the Beast are currently touring the country. All these shows are fabulous, but we really can’t wait to have Brooklyn here and that glorious Newsies overture playing out across London. Now that’s rich!
