REMINDER: Work on Villas at Grand Floridian Will Start March 1st
We wanted to give all our MickeyBlogger readers are reminder that if you’re visiting or staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa on or after March 1st, you are likely to encounter some construction during the day. This is due to the face that work will begin on refurbishing the villas on property.
The updated villa rooms are expected to make their debut at some point this summer. The enhancements include 200 NEW resort studios as well as deluxe studios, one-and two bedroom villas and three bedroom grand villas.
NEW: Resort Studios – The new resort studios will feature two queen-size beds and a day bed. You’ll find a myriad of luxurious design touches like quartz countertops, crown molding, luxury patterned tile, flat screen TV, and a beverage center with a cooler and coffee maker. Bathrooms will feature marble tile floors and a combo bath/shower.
Deluxe Studios – These refurbished studios will be able to accommodate up to five guests. The rooms will be updated with new luxurious textiles and will feature a queen-size bed, a new pull-down queen size bed and a pull-down bunk size bed (perfect for tiny tots.) The deluxe studios will also feature a full split bath with a shower and a sink in one area and a tub in the other. Deluxe studios also come with a kitchenette with wet bar, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a flat-panel TV.
One and Two-Bedroom Villas – Those looking for an even more grand stay will enjoy the added luxury in the new one and two bedroom villas. These accommodations feature full kitchens, large living areas and added amenities like modern appliances, farmhouse sinks and a washer and dryer.
Living areas will also feature a new pull-down queen size bed along with a pull-down bunk-size bed that folds away beneath the media center.
The one bedroom villa will sleep up to five with a king-size bed in the master bedroom. The two bedroom villa will sleep up to nine with an additional two queen-size beds in a second bedroom. Each primary bathroom will feature a bubble-jet bathtub and walk-in rain shower!
Three Bedroom Grand Villa – Perfect for families an multi-generational vacations, you’ll find plenty of room and comfort in the three-bedroom grand villa along with new design touches. This villa sleeps up to 12 guests with 2 bedrooms which include two queen-size beds each along with a master bedroom with king-size bend.
Three bedroom grand villas boast a spacious dining area, expansive living rooms, flat-panel TV, home theater system and an additional queen-size sleeper sofa.
Most villa also feature a porch or balcony with porcelain tile floors where you can relax and take in the property’s iconic scenery.
Be on the lookout for charming accents across all the rooms including Mickey and Minnie Victorian-themed silhouettes as well as artwork featuring Mary Poppins, Dumbo and more!
