Paying Tribute to Our Favorite Disney Gal Pals This Valentine’s Weekend
Valentine’s Day is not only the perfect time to celebrate your someone special but also to pay tribute to those enduring friendships that means so much to you! We recommend a GAL-entine’s movie marathon or even a visit to the theme parks with your bestie and we’ve got some awesome inspiration via some of Disney’s most iconic female friendships!
Check out our favorites below:
Tiana and Charlotte, The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Though Charlotte may be the pampered heiress and Mardi Gras Princess, her and Tiana (a hardworking entrepreneur) have an unshakeable bond despite their difference. They’re there for each other in their time of need even if it means kissing a frog or two!
Amelia and Abigail Gabble, The Aristocats (1970)
This duo of gossipy geese are one of my favorites! They are memorable for their matching bonnets. While touring France, these Brits definitely make their opinions know, especially when hanging out with some cool cats!
Pocahontas and Nakoma, Pocahontas (1995)
There’s something that just works when it comes to the friendship between Pocahontas and Nakoma. Pocahontas’s flights of fancy are perfectly balanced by Nakoma’s practicality. Despite their differences, they always have one another’s backs!
Honey Lemon and Gogo Tomago, Big Hero 6 (2014)
There’s something incredibly empowering by these two engineers. Honey studies chemicals and Gogo loves speed. Together they make one awesome team whether its chilling at the Lucky Cat Cafe or saving the world.
Maid Marian and Lady Kluck, Robin Hood (1973)
Though Lady Kluck is Maid Marian’s lady-in-waiting, their relationship runs deeper than that. These two certainly have a penchant for adventure whether its joining forces against Prince John’s evil regime or playing a friendly game of badminton.
Dory and Destiny, Finding Dory (2016)
They became fast friends when meeting at the Marine Life Institute. That’s why its so wonderful to see Dory and Destiny rekindle their friendship years later. Its obvious that Destiny’s friendship has had a lasting impact on Dory even if the fish may not always remember why.
Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle Cow and Daisy Duck
Whether its your favorite cartoon short or theme park float, one this is for sure, the friendship between Daisy, Minnie and Clarabelle is definitely squad goals! We love this trendsetting trio!
