BREAKING: False Alarm Closes Space Mountain, PeopleMover
Hopefully, tomorrow will be a great, big beautiful day for Space Mountain and the Tommorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover! Unfortunately, right now at Magic Kingdom at least one of the popular Tommorwland attractions remains shut down unexpectedly after a suspected fire-related emergency occured at Space Mountain around 3:45 p.m.
“Space Mountain & The PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom are both currently closed. A fire alarm was activated, with Guests evacuated by Cast Members. The Reedy Creek Fire Department responded to an unknown incident at Space Mountain around 3:45 p.m. No official word from Disney yet!” posted Gotta Go Orlando on Twitter minutes ago.

Guest Jameel Alayyan expressed his shock regarding the alleged fire that trigged evacuations shortly after her rode the Magic Kingdom thrill ride.

As of 4:50 p.m., the Tommorwland Transit Authoirty PeopleMover reopened along with Space Mountain that already posted an 80-minute stand-by wait.
In regards to the Space Mountain and PeopleMover closure. Reedy Creek Fire Department did respond to the area, but the department spokesperson says there was no fire.

According to Digital Journalist Ashley Carter, the Reedy Creek Fire Department responded to the incident and confirmed that “there was no fire.” Previously, both attractions were closed at 3:45 p.m. with Space Mountain closed until 4:40 p.m.
