In honor of Black History Month, the Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom is offering a special drink. The Mint Julep.
The Mint Julep features pineapple-mint julep with Maker’s Mark, pineapple juice simple syrup, and mint topped with ginger beer.
Inspired by a John Dabney original recipe. Dabney’s success as a bartender allowed him to buy his wife’s freedom, leading to business ownership.

This beverage is offered in tribute to his spirit of perseverance and resilience. John Dabney was a humble father, as well as a proud worker. He valued his word above all else, and his legacy is not soon forgotten in mixology.
