Bonjour! New Fab 50 Replicas Make Delightful Debut
Last week, the first of a remarkable new line of Disney Fab 50 statue replicas appeared at the Magic Kingdom, perfectly capturing Tinker Bell’s spirited self. Today, MickeyBloggers found a few more spectacular collectible versions of the popular Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.
The group of gilded statues find themselves scattered throughout the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort. The installation honors “The Most Magical Celebration,” marking the resort’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021.
On a stop today to Bonjour! Village Gifts, located within New Fantasyland near Gaston’s Tavern, MickeyBloggers found the statues of three beloved characters: EPCOT’s Figment, our favorite deputy Woody, and Simba of “The Lion King.”
Despite the ease in which we found them today, Tinkerbell definitely poses the most exciting challenge of all of the Fab 50 statues for those searching for her actual statue at Magic Kingdom. The replica is not much smaller than the actual statue that sits perched above eye-level, nestled in the foliage surround Cinderella Castle.
The New Fabulous Fab 50 Replicas
Figment’s sheer joy bursts from his statue (and the from the abundance of photographs taken replicating his cheeful pose). The replica showcases the detail in the Fab 50 statue, specifically in Figment’s darling smile and two tiny wings.
The Woody replica shines with detail as well with Woody’s cactus boots dazzling at the bottom of the golden collectible. His eyes look off into the distance, as he appears to think about whatever adventure might come next. In the actual statue displayed at Hollywood Studios, Woody stands side-by-side with his dear friend, Bo Peep.
Simba clearly can’t wait to be king in his replica piece, which celebrates the youth and exuberance of Young Simba. To find the original statue, head to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where Simba joins his friends Pumba and Timon to remind us all about their wonderful phrase, “Hakuna Matata.”
The statues come packaged in reflective blue packaging in a nod to the 50th anniversary’s color palette, a blend of deep blues and “EARidescent” shades.
So far, we have only found the statues at Bonjour! Village Gifts. Woddy, Tink, and Simba can also be found on shopDisney. Each limited collectible retails for $99.00. What a lovely way to take home a piece of Walt Disney World Resort nostalgia during this year’s special celebration!
