Disney World President Jeff Vahle Visits Starcruiser Crew
Today was a big day for Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser news! Earlier today we shared images from the bus ranks at Disney Springs where the Starcruiser now has its own rank! Then later today, Disney World President Jeff Vahle took to Instagram to share that he’s been on the scene at the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser meeting the cast members that are getting ready to bring this magical experience to life.

Vahle is pictured with a large group of Halcyon employees (which is the name given to the Galactic Starcruiser.) The ship will take its inaugural voyage on March 1st which is just over a month away!

For those unfamiliar, the Galactic Starcruiser is a two-night all-inclusive Star Wars experience that you book similarly to how you would book a cruise. A stay here includes room, board, entertainment, special activities, character interactions and more.
Guests can enjoy the Sublight Lounge as part of their stay aboard Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the first-of-its-kind vacation experience debuting March 1, 2022, at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Disney/Lucasfilm Ltd.)
During the visit, guests staying on the Starcruiser will have the opportunity to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios as part of the immersive Star Wars experience.

The Starcruiser has been the subject of a bit of controversy as of late after a marketing campaign failed to hit the right note with Disney and Star Wars fans alike. However, Disney is saying that they are keeping lots of surprises regarding the experience until opening. Whether that’s enough to turn the tide regarding enthusiasm for the project remains to be seen.
