PHOTOS: Giant Telescopic Cranes Working on Tron Site Today
Some big moves are being made over at the Tron construction site today…literally!
Telescopic cranes hoisting massive pieces of the Tron canopy seemed to be taking up the majority of the construction workers’ attention today as the covering nears completion.
The larger of the two cranes was busy lifting plastic-covered pieces of the attraction’s exterior high over Tomorrowland before they were slowly lowered into place on the canopy.
A smaller- but still enormous- crane was at work on the lower canopy portion. We spotted the smaller crane installing the blue mesh-like covering that can be seen on the taller canopy area pictured to the right.
Although no one from the outside world has had the chance to peek inside the building yet, we’re hoping that the exterior canopy work means that the inside is pretty much complete! But our guess is just as good as yours until an official opening is announced, and based on today’s images, that still looks to be awhile off.
