Expedition Everest is OPEN…for Kids’ Activities!

While the Yeti is off on an extended vacation visiting family back in Tibet until April, Imagineers at Animal Kingdom decided it was a good time to close Expedition Everest and give the attraction a refurbishment.

Despite its closure, the ominous mountain is as entrancing as ever, and Cast Members are taking the opportunity to turn this usually adult-friendly area into a kids’ play paradise!

Just outside of the queue, Cast Members set up some activities and games for kids to participate in as they pass by. We spotted a rope ring toss game complete with color coordinating rings waiting to be picked up. We also saw a larger-than-life Connect 4 too! 

Cast Members outside of the attraction will be happy to explain the game and help you learn the rules and keep score if you want to engage in a family-friendly competition!

The games are there for kids and kids at heart to enjoy, so don’t miss this rare chance to hang out and play in what is one of Animal Kingdom’s busiest areas.
