Best Character Dining at Disney World
Character Dining at Walt Disney World is one of the most memorable aspects of our family’s trips. With two little girls, we always add a character meal to our Disney World trip. The following are my favorite character dining options at Walt Disney World.
Storybook Dining
Storybook Dining has become my new favorite character dinner. It is located at Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge. Guests not staying at Wilderness Lodge can take a boat from Magic Kingdom to dine here. The restaurant only operates for dinner making it one of the hardest dining reservations to obtain.
The Evil Queen, Snow White, Grumpy, and Dopey all interact with guests. One of my favorite parts of the dinner is the story element and presentation of the food. Snow White inspired food delights guests with hunter’s pie, apple inspired desserts, and transformation potion drinks.
Bon Voyage Breakfast
My second favorite character meal, Bon Voyage Breakfast, does not yet have a reopening date post COVID. The Bon Voyage Breakfast is located at Trattoria Al Forno at Boardwalk Inn. Trattoria Al Forno has reopened but the character meal has not yet returned.
It is the only character dining to feature Disney princes. Ariel, Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and Prince Eric are all featured. The food also has creative presentation and unique and flavorful dishes. The menu also features character inspired food such as Rapunzel pastries and King Triton’s shipwreck. The food is a step above other character dining. I can’t wait for this experience to return, hopefully soon.
Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace is located at the top of Riveria Resort. It is open for both breakfast and dinner. Only breakfast is a character meal as dinner is a different experience. It features Minnie, Mickey, Donald, and Daisy in their European artist outfits. Topolino’s Terrace is a signature meal for dinner with amazing fireworks views of Harmonious.
The food features art inspired dishes matching the European theme. The food is excellent and the service and attention by cast members matches that of other signature restaurants.
Cinderella’s Royal Table
You will not find a more unique experience than eating in Cinderella’s Castle. There’s something truly magical about being inside Cinderella’s Castle. Cinderella’s Royal Table serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Prior to COVID, guests would meet Cinderella and an assortment of other Disney princesses.
On previous visits we have had Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, and Ariel. Currently Cinderella’s Royal Table is not a character dining venue, but Cinderella still appears socially distanced from guests.
