Update Regarding Downtown Disney Closures
As we’ve previously reported here at MickeyBlog, some changes are coming to the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort starting today. The area will under-go a multi-year renovation which will ultimate transform the former AMC Theatres building into a stunning new “lifestyle” space.
Because construction is ready to start, a few Downtown Disney businesses will need to close. This includes Earl of Sandwich, Sugarboo & Co and Starbucks Coffee on the west end of the district.
The first location to close will be Sugarboo & Co. starting TODAY January 15th. Earl of Sandwich will be closing on January 27th followed by Starbucks West which will close on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
So far, these are the only businesses that we know of that will be impacted. However, should this change we will update you!
Also, visitors to Disneyland Resort should be aware that the Disneyland Monorail will also close for a few weeks as part of the construction. Closure dates are from Monday, February 14, 2020 – March 6, 2022. This is to accommodate work being carried out near the Downtown Disney District Monorail station.
