Typhoon Lagoon Will Be Closed The Beginning of Next Week Due to Cooler Temperatures
If you were following along with us here at MickeyBlog yesterday, you may have seen our piece on the cooler temperatures that may soon be impacting Central Florida. Local news outlets are predicting that a cold front passing through the south may result in temperatures as low as the 30s and 40s on Monday and Tuesday.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon (the only water park currently open at Walt Disney World while Blizzard Beach is being refurbished) is restricting its hours next week. Let’s take a look at the current schedule as it is posted online.
As you can see from the image above, Typhoon Lagoon does not have business hours posted for tomorrow (Sunday, January 16, 2021) or Monday (January 17, 2021.) This means the water park will more than likely be closed both days due to cold temperatures. As of going to print, hours are still scheduled for Tuesday. However, this is something we’ll be keeping a close eye on and we promise to let you know if there are any further changes.
It is standard practice for Typhoon Lagoon to close operations once the temperatures in Central Florida get into the 60s.
