Typhoon Lagoon Will Stay Closed Tomorrow Due to Cold Weather
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog than you’ll know that Blizzard Beach is currently closed for its seasonal refurbishment while Typhoon Lagoon has recently reopened to guests. However, for those currently at Walt Disney World who plan on hitting the water parks, you’ll need to give tomorrow a miss. Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will remain closed tomorrow due to lower than average winter temperatures.
Above is a look at the business hours at Typhoon Lagoon from today. You can see that normal business hours are posted from 10 am – 5 pm
Looking at tomorrow you can see that the park will remain closed with no hours posted. It’s easy to understand why when you look at the weather forecast for tomorrow.
Above is tomorrow’s Orlando forecast taken from Weather.com. It shows that the high temperature in Walt Disney World tomorrow will be 70 degrees with a low of 56 degrees.
When the temperatures drop below 70 degrees Disney deems this a bit too cold to keep the water parks open. For that reason, they will make the decision a day or two in advance to keep the water park closed.

It looks like it will be business as usual on Wednesday, January 12th, with normal 10 am – 5 pm operating hours. This is something that we’ll be monitoring closely. Readers are encouraged to keep checking back with us for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
