Food and Drink Prices Increase at Walt Disney World
Just like everything these days, prices at Walt Disney World are going up. This time, prices on many food and drink options across the Walt Disney World Resort have just undergone a price increase including popular snack items like popcorn, Mickey Bars, soft drinks, and items at both quick service and table service restaurant.
As our MickeyBlog roving reporters were making their way around the Magic Kingdom this morning, we spotted these price increase first hand.
New Pricing for Frozen Treats, Ice Cream Snacks, and Soft Drinks
We saw our first instance of this morning’s price increase at the Ice Cream and Frozen Treats Snack Cart by the Haunted Mansion as you are coming from Fantasyland. All of these prices listed include sales tax.
The following items are now $6.25:
- Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar
- Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich
The following items are now $6.00:
- Olaf Frozen Lemonade-Strawberry Bar
- Frozen Banana Chocolate-Covered with Nuts
- Frozen Lemonade Cup
The Strawberry Fruit Bar is now $5.75.
While the prices for bottled soft drinks including Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite have increased to $5.00 per bottle inside the Walt Disney World Parks with this latest price increase, the prices for bottled water have remained the same. Dasani bottled water remains $3.50 and smartwater stays at $5.50 per bottle.
Walt Disney World Increases Price for Popcorn
Unfortunately, one of Walt Disney World’s most popular snack items has also been impacted by this morning’s price increase on food and drinks. We stopped by the Popcorn Cart in Liberty Square this morning and were greeted by these new prices:
- Popcorn in the 50th Anniversary Refillable Souvenir Bucket: $13.00
- Regular Popcorn: $5.50
- Refillable Popcorn Bucket Refill: $2.25
The prices above do include tax.
Even with Walt Disney World increasing their price on the Refillable Popcorn Buckets and refills, it still makes it one of the most economical snacks to enjoy in the Parks if you ask me!
While we spotted all these food and drink price increases at the Magic Kingdom, they do apply to locations at all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks as well as Disney Springs.
Table Service Restaurant Price Increases
The recent Walt Disney World price increases on food and drinks extends to table service restaurants as well. I went back to the article we wrote back in September for pricing for the opening of Steakhouse 71 to compare prices on a few menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Here are a few examples:
Breakfast:
- The American Breakfast increased from $14.00 to $16.00
- Avocado Toast increased from $12.00 to $13.00
Lunch:
- Gourmet Grille Cheese increased from $16.00 to $17.00
Dinner
- 10 ounce New York Strip increased from $34.00 to $36.00
Steakhouse 71 is just one example of several Walt Disney World Table Service restaurants that were impacted by this price increase.
Price Increases at Quick Service Restaurants
Using Regal Eagle in EPCOT as an example, prices on food and drinks have increased at Walt Disney World quick service restaurants as well. Here are some of the examples:
- Kansas City Smoked Half Chicken increased from $13.99 to $14.29
- Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich increased from $12.99 to $13.49
