Surf’s Up Once Again at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park!
Walt Disney World Guests can officially hang ten once again at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! After being closed for almost two years, the popular Walt Disney World Water Park opened its waters once again on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
While Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon did reopen on January 2, 2022, it did have to close for the day on Monday, January 3, 2022 due to cold temperatures in Central Florida. But, the water park is back open today with even more magic than ever before!

When Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon opened on January 2, 2022, Guests were treated to even more delicious menu offerings including a “Build Your Own” tropical flavor DOLE Whip at the Snack Shack.
In addition to new menu items, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Guests can once enjoy some of the water park’s iconic attractions including body surfing in the largest outdoor wave pool in the United States, plunging down Humunga Kowabunga, and going on a journey with your closest family and friends on Miss Adventure Falls.

That’s not all! Guests also are once again invited to enjoy the relaxing waters on Castaway Creek and the ride of their life on the thrilling Crush N’ Gusher.
And, just like before, Guests can visit the “tucked away, nautical oasis at Walt Disney World” to enjoy all the “topsy-turvy architecture, storm-strewn treasures scattered around the park” including the stranded ship, Missy Tilly’s you will find washed up to shore atop the Mount Mayday summit.
