ICYMI: Ringing In The New Year With Stunning EPCOT Fireworks Display
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog this holiday weekend then you’ll know that Disney World pulled out all of the stops for fantastic New Year’s Eve festivities across the resort including a delightful 2022 Countdown at EPCOT.
MickeyBlog came to you live from the World Showcase last night for the Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration at EPCOT.
All we can say about last night’s EPCOT countdown was WOW! as the new state-of-the-art Harmonious barges were there to add an extra element of Disney magic to the festivities!
We love the way that American Adventure is perfectly framed from these images taken near Showcase Plaza.
The staging of the production meant that beautiful views could be seen around the World Showcase Lagoon.
Pyrotechnics erupted around the lagoon!
The barges displayed beautiful imagery of the countries represented at the World Showcase!
It was really nice to be able to spend New Year’s Eve at EPCOT as an alternative to the hustle and bustle of Magic Kingdom.
The way the special effects, lasers and projections were coordinated with the fireworks was positively stunning.
This followed an evening of awesome entertainment with a handful of countries in the World Showcase offering special entertainment including the UK Pavilion, Italy, American Adventure and China.
EPCOT’s New Year’s Eve soiree was definitely the more adult of the two celebrations with guests sipping on cocktails while enjoying the show.
The way that all of the elements of Harmonious show were brought in for a New Year’s Eve countdown was really spectacular!
You can even see the side barges illuminated to say EPCOT and NYE (New Year’s Eve!)

EPCOT did such an incredible job of bringing the festivities to the World Showcase to ring in 2022. This is an event that we’d definitely recommend in future! So if you didn’t make it to the 2022 countdown there’s always next year.
