ShopDisney’s Big Reveal Is a New Monthly Mickey Collection For 2022
If you were following along with us here at MickeyBlog yesterday, you may have seen that we shared a teaser from shopDisney about some big news that was coming today (December 29, 2021.) We felt at the time that Disney was prepping to announce their new monthly line of collectibles along the same lines as Stitch Crashes….Disney and it looks like that is the case. Word on the street is that the new collection will be Mickey Mouse the Main Attraction.
First let’s take a look at shopDisney’s official Instagram post from yesterday:

The caption simply reads, can you spot the character that will be part of shopDisney’s announcement. If you look closely at the balcony, there is a Mickey silhouette!
Though shopDisney has yet to go fully public with their plans for 2022’s exciting line of collectibles, the following image was making the rounds on Instagram this morning:

It looks like the theme of 2022’s monthly collectibles will be themed around Mickey Mouse and will also have a 50th Anniversary tie-in. This makes perfect sense as Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration will go on for 18 months thus seeing us through 2022.
Now if the name sounds familiar to you, that’s because pre-pandemic ShopDisney had a similar collection titled Minnie Mouse the Main Attraction. Each month a new series of collectibles were released paying tribute to a much loved theme park attraction. Each monthly collection included a Minnie Mouse plush, mini backpack, ears, mug and collectible pins.
It looks like shopDisney is prepping to do something similar and we’re pretty excited about it as the Minnie collection was one of our favorites before it stalled out due to COVID-19! This is a story that we’ll continue to follow closely here at MickeyBlog and we’ll reach out as soon as we know more about the Mickey Mouse the Main Attraction and its release dates.
