Big Announcement Tomorrow on shopDisney!
shopDisney took to Twitter this morning to tease a big announcement that will be happening tomorrow regarding the website.
The account shared the tweet below asking if anyone can spot the character that the ‘big announcement’ tomorrow centers around.

Fans were quick to point out the silhouette of the big man himself, Mickey Mouse, in the castle’s balcony just under the 50th emblem that has been added onto the castle for the golden anniversary.
The announcement has also led everyone to speculate what the announcement could be, especially given that the announcement has to be some sort of merchandise since shopDisney account is the one that posted the announcement.
The general consensus is that another monthly collection is about the launch, especially considering two of the current collections- Stitch Crashes Disney and the Disney Castle Collection are coming to an end soon.
Tying this in with the fact that Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th-Anniversary will be running all the way through 2022 and not ending until March 2023, a 50th-anniversary monthly collection seems the most likely.
Considering the popularity of previous collections, such as the Minnie Mouse Main Attraction collection that had Minnie centered around beloved attractions, such as Peter Pan’s Flight and Space Mountain, the controversial MerchPass may make a return.
The MerchPass system worked similarly to a lottery system and allowed certain guests to purchase the products before the items were officially released on shopDisney or in stores.
However, more recent collections have abandoned the use of MerchPass so it is not a guarantee that it will be making a return. However, we imagine a 50th-anniversary centered collection may be popular enough to warrant doing so.
For now, all we can do is speculate until the announcement is officially made tomorrow.
