Disneyland Paris New Year’s Eve Party Canceled. Park Hours Extended for All Guests
In light of the current climate and the latest updates from the French authorities, Disneyland Paris has chosen to cancel the Disney New Year’s Eve Party scheduled this year.
Here are the details…
The event, which was set to be a spectacular see-in to 2022, was a ticketed event for guests. Special entertainment, treats, and other exciting offerings were all planned.
However, despite the special party being canceled, Disneyland Paris have confirmed that they will instead be extending the opening hours in both their parks on December 31st, in order to allow guests to celebrate the new year.
This means that all guests with valid daytime admission will be able to see in 12am from the park, without needing to purchase the special event add-on ticket.
So, the Disneyland Park will be open from 9am through 1am, and the Walt Disney Studios Park will be open until 12.30am.
Not only that, Disneyland Paris have promised “extra entertainment” for the night at the Disneyland Park, including Selfie Spots, shows, and an exclusive parade. Previously, all these additional offerings would have been reserved for paying party guests.
On top of this, the special seasonal offerings for Disney’s Enchanted Christmas are still available throughout the resort, and will feature until January 9th.
Making the tough decision to cancel the party and instead keep the park open to all guests may seem like a rather interesting one, especially in the face of the global pandemic and concerns around crowding.
The most likely reason for this decision is that the recently tightened restrictions on travel to France over the holiday period has led to large cancellations and a drop in forecasted bookings.
Although this is a huge shame for those who are now unable to travel to Paris for the event, it will likely be positive news for guests who live more local to the resort.
They are now able to countdown to the new year in Disneyland Paris without having to pay extra for their ticket.
