Join Us For First Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Afternoon Parade
Christmas is definitely in the air here at Magic Kingdom today where your MickeyBloggers Greg and Elyssa are here to witness the first afternoon version of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
If you’ve been following along with us you’ll know that we’re gathered just outside of Cinderella Castle.
The crowds were definitely plentiful for the 12pm parade.
There will be an additional showing at 3:45 pm.
Starting things off are our good friends Pinocchio and Geppetto!
The colorful duo definitely livened up the crowd!
There’s no strings to hold down this fella!
You can even see them in the picture below joined by Alice!
It was so nice to see people lined up again for an afternoon parade!
The vendors were even out selling their bubble and snow wands!
Things got deliciously Goofy with the float below!
Here is our pal sharing his Christmas excitement with the crowd!
We love his little gingerbread house float.
You can see him being followed by some other delicious treats.
He’s also joined by his son Max.
Max is seen taking to the streets of Magic Kingdom with his gingerbread car.
My favorite detail is the ribbon candy on the grill!
If you’re looking for a prime viewing location, we’d recommend near the Lightning Lane section which is just to the right of the castle.
It made for some fantastic images.
We love that you can see Cinderella Castle towering in the distance!
It wouldn’t be the winter holiday without Elsa conjuring up some Frozen magic!
She looked positively perfect in her icy blue gown!
Her float also features Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post.
We love the snow-capped roof of this Christmastime float.
Elsa really took her time to interact with the little ones in the crowd.
More of our Frozen friends were also on hand including Anna!
Here is Kristoff.
Kristoff even brought along his ice-making crew!
Though we couldn’t give Olaf a warm hug we could wave “Hello!” to him from his little cottage.
He was looking in his element during this winter celebration!
We’re about to get a “royal” welcome!
Atop this glistening golden float were some of our favorite Disney Princesses!
We got our first royal wave from the always beautiful Snow White!
The bright colors in her gown looked radiant when contrasted with the beautiful baubles and white Christmas trees!
One the other side of the float you could see the beautiful Rapunzel!
She was waving to guests from her Tower (I mean float!)
We love these photos in front of the cast complete with the 50th Anniversary emblem.
Disney World will continue celebrating its 50th Anniversary throughout 2022!
Our friend Clarabelle Cow made an appearance.
Fairy Godmother presided over the festivities from atop her float!
Mulan and Cinderella were also on hand!
Here’s Elena looking beautiful in her winter weather gear!
Ariel also made an appearance!
The Disney Princess float was definitely one of the highlights of the parade!
If you look closely you can get a look at Princess Aurora!
Here’s Sleeping Beauty again in the shadow of the magnificent castle!
And who can forget Clarabelle Cow! Her outfit is absolutely perfect for the season!
We love the gingerbread cookie pattern on her dress and apron.
She was on a float featuring lots of holiday greenery and sweet treats!
Speaking of sweet treats, it’s time for the gingerbread men.
These are among our favorite characters during the Christmas parade.
They seemed so exciting to be celebrating the season!
The gold icing on their outfits was so adorable.
They were evened joined by a pair of our favorite holiday chefs!
It’s Chip and Dale!
This duo looks like they’ve been busy making Christmas cookies!
They were seen with chef’s hats and carrying mixing spoons!
Here’s another highlight of the parade each year.
It’s always a breathtaking moment when the wooden soldiers take to the streets.
They march perfectly in time with one another!
Its so fun to see!
Here are a couple more images of the Toy Soldiers marching along.
The Castle makes the perfect backdrop!
We’re still baffled as to how they walk in those shoes!
Our Pixar Pals also made an appearance!
This festive Christmas present float actually had a malfunction during the parade!
For the few moments that it was running it looked beautiful!
Above you can see Forky!
Jessie and Woody were also spotted on a Toy Float.
It looks like it was piloted by one of Santa’s Christmas elves!
The Pixar ball always makes us smile!
Especially when being tossed up in the air by one of Santa’s elves!
We love the playful Pixar moments of the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade!
It’s so bright and colorful!
Mickey and Minnie’s float is always a holiday highlight!
They stand in front of a Christmas Tree all done up for the holiday season!
During today’s parade Daisy Duck was leading the pack in her holiday finery!
We love her coordinated red and green outfit!
She matched perfectly right down to the bow in her hair!
She was also keeping an eye on Pluto!
Here’s Mickey Mouse giving a couple of big waves!
He was wearing a beautiful white embroidered waistcoat.
He also had a green, gold and red jacket.
While Minnie could be seen in a white coat with a red skirt!
Next up is Santa’s reindeer!
You know when this gang arrives at Disney that Santa is soon to follow!
We wonder if they’re ready for their Christmas Eve flight?
It’s only a few days away!
They are definitely looking festive with their red bows!
They also have jingle bells on their collars!
They are merrily marching along in front of the Castle.
Is that Santa we spot in the distance!?
Now it is time for the main event…Santa!
He was sitting high atop his sleigh that was filled with presents!
We suspect you’ll be seeing him again in just a few days time!
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will take place twice daily at the Magic Kingdom through until the end of December. Performances are at 12pm and 3:45 pm.
