All the Best Places to Watch Magic Kingdom Fireworks from Outside the Park
Magic Kingdom Fireworks are a staple for any Disney trip. They capture the magic, the joy, and the happiness that Disney is all about. There are so many great places to view the fireworks from inside Magic Kingdom, but what if you aren’t in the park that day?!
Whether you just arrived, it’s your last day, you visited a different park, or you’re enjoying a rest day at the resort, there’s no need to fret. I’ve searched all over Disney property and created a list of the best places to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks from outside the park.
Resort Viewing Areas
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
- Grab a late-night dining reservation at Narcoose’s and ask for a table by the window.
- Stake out a table outside Gasparilla Grill, or sit on the cement steps leading to the marina, and watch the fireworks over Bay Lake. The soundtrack is projected for your viewing and listening pleasure.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Grab a Dole Whip and sink your toes into the sand. The soundtrack is played on the beach while you watch.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Towers
- Grab a late-night dining reservation at California Grill, located on the topmost floor, and watch the fireworks from your table or at the window.
- Sneak to the 4th floor and enjoy the fireworks from the “secret” nook just outside the doors leading to the walkway between The Contemporary and Bay Lake Towers.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Grab a boat to Wilderness Lodge from Magic Kingdom and watch the fireworks as you travel. You can also do this in reverse.
- Make your way to the docks and watch the fireworks in the distance. The Electrical Water Pageant will come by and you’ll get to see it up close!
Non-resort Viewing Areas
Outside Magic Kingdom
- Go through security, but don’t enter the park. You can view the fireworks over the top of the train station, but the castle projections won’t be visible
- The walkway between Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom has some nice places to stop and enjoy the fireworks.
Ticket and Transportation Center
- The soundtrack is projected overhead so guests can watch from anywhere at the center.
- Grab a Ferry to Magic Kingdom and watch as you make your way there. You can do this in reverse as well, but you have to time it right because the ride is shorter than the fireworks show.

Fireworks Cruises
- Charter a private cruise for you and your family and enjoy the fireworks over Bay Lake while enjoying snacks, drinks, and family.
- Book a Ferrytale Dessert and Fireworks cruise for the entire family and let Disney do the driving while you sip, savor, and make magical memories.
