Woman Sues Disney After Getting Electrocuted in Resort Room
According to a piece that appeared in the Florida Record yesterday, a woman is suing Disney Parks and Resorts after getting electrocuted in her resort room during a stay at Walt Disney World Resort.
We know that the suit was filed on November 4, 2021 by Courtney Randall. The filing in Orange County Circuit Court states that the incident occurred at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa back in September of 2018.
In the complaint, Randall advises that she was visiting the park with her family and staying on property at the Floridian. During their stay they noticed that the electrical outlets in the room weren’t fitted into the wall and notified staff of the issue. Randall goes on to say that her party were assured by staff that the problem would be resolved.
On September 10, 2018, Randall said that she was attempting to use an electrical outlet while her family was out at the theme parks when the incident occurred. According to the lawsuit, Randall is claiming that she went through suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of capacity as a result of the incident. As a result, the plaintiff argues that she is experiencing loss of enjoyment of life, had accrued medial expenses as well as loss of earnings.
Randall is represented by Max A. Eichenblatt of Winter Park. You can see the report for the cast here – GF Guest Incident
