CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Canopy Looks Stunning at TRON Coaster in Magic Kingdom
It was a beautiful day over at Magic Kingdom today so we thought we’d pop round to Tomorrowland Speedway to provide you with an update on how construction is going over at the TRON coaster in Tomorrowland!
The outdoor canopy for the coaster is looking absolutely stunning.
It has really taken shape since the last time we popped by.
For those unfamiliar, part of the coaster will be indoors before coasting along underneath this beautiful structure. Like the films, the ride is supposed to simulate your visit to cyberspace!
It’s hard to get a sense of size and scale of the attraction but it takes up a huge area of the park. It also covers the area previously used for the track of the Walt Disney World Railroad which is why that attraction has been on hiatus.
In the image above you can see the actual lightcycle track running underneath the canopy.
As of going to print Disney World has yet to announce an official opening day for the attraction. However, we will continue to be on the lookout and promise to let you know as soon as one is announced.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further Disney World news and updates and a huge shoutout to Kathryn Finkelstein at MickeyTravels for sharing these awesome images with us.
