‘Hawkeye’ is Disney+ Most-Watched in 39 Countries
The next up in Marvel’s jam-packed Phase Four slate, it appears that the anticipation has paid dividends as Hawkeye is Disney+ most-watched property in 39 different countries.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise, Hawkeye continuing the legacy of excellence following the past decade worth of MCU entries.
The news comes was first reported by We Got This Covered, noting that the latest Marvel series tops all Disney+ properties as the most-watched within 39 countries; a fact that is clearly dominant, but some sites have noted as being subpar considering the streaming service is available in 60 countries in total.
The site questioned the Marvel series level of dominance considering the studio behind it stating, “It’s a little surprising to discover that it wasn’t quite the all-conquering phenomenon we’ve come to expect from Kevin Feige’s franchise.”
Although the series hasn’t dominated the entirety of the 60 markets that the streaming service is available, it is still clearly a success in terms of viewership and critical success.
With Hawkeye Disney+ most-watched in 39 markets, and the series receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, it appears as though it is yet another win for the studio, Marvel head Kevin Feige, and the lauded MCU.
The series is setting the groundwork to tell the much-anticipated story of Clint Barton; post the events of the final two entries in the Inifinity Saga, Barton is committed to his life as a father while trying to atone for the many sins of his past.
Featuring the debut of Kate Bishop, the series has been championed for its humor, action, and holiday spirit; as the two great archers of the MCU work to outrun the many enemies made by Barton’s Ronin.
Jeremy Renner reprises his role in perhaps his best take yet on the character of Clint Barton, and Hailee Steinfeld makes her long-awaited debut as Bishop in what should be the first of many MCU appearances for the actor.
