PHOTOS: Boardwalk Resurfacing Project Underway
Although Thanksgiving is still a few days away, we have entered the official Holiday season here at Walt Disney World Resort…and Disney is making sure everything is in tip-top shape for seasonal travelers.
We spotted construction crews hauling concrete blocks to an active site at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. The lifts were seen buzzing past guests and entering a screened-off construction site at the Resort.
I got to take a peek at the work going on behind the walls, and it became even more clear that the materials brought to the site were to be used as part of the ground resurfacing project that’s currently underway.
Disney’s Boardwalk is the latest Resort to undergo a pretty significant pathway refurbishment this month. The work is taking place right outside of the Wyland Gallery and below a large section of guest rooms. The pathway that connects the Boardwalk’s main pool to the Wyland Galleries has been narrowed to make way for the work, but can still be accessed.
Boardwalk guests, beware. Although the work is taking place during daytime hours when most folks would be in the Parks, loud noise may be coming from the site if you’re planning to spend time relaxing on your balcony during the day.
Have no fear, no matter where your room is located, you can be confident that all will be quiet in the evenings and early mornings, meaning you can catch those must-needed Zz’s!
