BREAKING: Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park to be Reimagined in 2023
I have some exciting news out of Disneyland to share with you! Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park will debut in early 2023 with new experiences and more play than ever before! This news was shared today at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo by Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro.
The new immersive land will have more play activities than ever before. Geared towards the younger generation, new experiences will let children play, slide, spin, splash, touch, and listen! The entire area will transform into a vibrant symphony of sights, sounds, and sensations. The area will have open, grassy play areas for families to unwind.

“We are so excited to leverage Disney’s powerful brand, develop new stories and share even more magical experiences with our guests,” said D’Amaro. “The newly reimagined Mickey’s Toontown will be a welcoming place where families and younger guests can connect and play together in fun new ways.”
The first space that guests will enter with be a new area called CenTOONial Park. The center focus of this area will be a water fountain that will be designed for play. There will be water tables at its base that will allow guests to play with the water for a wonderful sensory experience. At night, the fountain will come to life in a unique spectacle of light!
A special dreaming tree will be featured in the land that is inspired by a young Walt Disney that would daydream under in his hometown. Children will be able to play in its sculpted tree roots as they crawl and explore.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will also be debuting in 2023 in the reimagined Mickey’s Toontown.
Mickey’s Toontown will close in March of 2022 for the reimagining to begin for these all-new experiences. Stay tuned for more details as everything gets underway!
