Explore the Merry Menagerie
Head over to Discovery Island for a holiday-inspired and whimsical winter celebration. This signature interactive experience features life-size artisan-sculpted animal puppets, colorful rooftop luminaries, and bird lanterns light up the sky.
Afterwords check out some of the merchandise locations! This year, Animal Kingdom has released special ornaments to commemorate this merry experience.

Check out a Sailin’ Santa Claus
That’s right! You can check out the Christmas man himself sailing down the Discovery River! The Santa Claus Festive Flotilla features a jolly old St. Nick kicking off the holidays to an upbeat and energetic soundtrack of world-beat holiday hits! Tap your toes, grab a festive pic, and wave to Santa! This is one experience you won’t want to miss!

Festive Fun with Holiday Flotillas
In case seeing Santa Claus float down the Discovery River was not enough excitement, guests can find their other favorite characters! Wave and dance with Donald Duck and a cast of your favorite Disney characters as they party down the river. Or sing and dance with Chip ‘n’ Dale as they jingle through the jungle to funky holiday rhythms.
There is also an amazing group of percussionists that entertain on the waterways! The Discovery Island Drummers Festive Flotilla provide holiday fun and awesome beats along the Discovery River. These are holiday celebrations you won’t want to miss

Snap the Perfect Holiday Selfie
Be sure to check out the holiday-themed décor throughout the park! Festive greenery, twinkling lights, and the magic of nature combine creating an adventurous and beautiful holiday twist.
And be sure to stop by and grab a holiday pic in front of the Tree of Life Awakenings – Holiday Edition. The iconic centerpiece of Animal Kingdom features the larger than life tree shimmering and sparkling at sunset! Glimmering against the backdrop of nightly stars and heartwarming holiday music, this experience will definitely get you in the holiday spirit!

Savor Some (very) Limited-Edition Treats
Animal Kingdom features a few goodies to check out during the holiday season! However, many of these items are more limited than the other parks with many offered only Thanksgiving Day! Below are a few other yummy options to check out!
- Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse: Pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate “dirt,” and cranberry boba pearls. Available from November 25 to 28, 2021
- Peppermint Cream Cheese Mousse: Peppermint cream cheese mousse, peppermint sauce, peppermint candy pieces, and chocolate “dirt”. Available December 1 to 30, 2021
