All The Marvel Projects in the Disney+ Pipeline
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that this past Friday was Disney+ Day. The Walt Disney Company used this as an opportunity to highlight some of the incredible projects coming to the streaming network from Marvel and we’re giving you a sneak peek below:
Hawkeye
This series is the next MCU series out of the gate for Disney+. The action in Hawkeye takes place in post-blip New York City. Hawkeye is on a mission to get back to his family for Christmas. However, when a threat from his past shows up he reluctantly teams up with a 22-year-old archer Kate Bishop. Together they hope to unravel a criminal conspiracy.
The series stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton and Alaqua Cox. Episodes are directed by Rhys Thomas and directed by duo Bert and Bertie. Hawkeye will make its premiere on November 24, 2021 on Disney+.
Moon Knight
One of the biggest talking points of Disney+ Day was the release of footage for Moon Knight. This new globetrotting action-adventure series focuses on a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociate identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside find themselves at the center of a deadly war of the god. The whole series is set amongst the backdrop of ancient Egypt.
Moon Knight is directed by Mohamed Diab with Jeremy Slater as writer. The project is coming to Disney’s streaming network in 2022.
She-Hulk
Tatiana Maslany plays Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. The series is expected to introduce a whole host of Marvel characters including Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and the Abomination (Tim Roth.) Being dubbed a comedy series, She-Hulk will be coming to Disney+ in 2022.
The project will be directed by Kat Coiro with Anu Valia also directing. Head writer is Jessica Gao.
Ms. Marvel
Meet Kamala Khan, a 16 year old Pakistani American from Jersey City. She is an aspiring artist, avid gamer and writes the occasional fan-fiction. Oh, and let’s not forget that she’s a huge fan of the Avengers and one in particular…Captain Marvel. Kamala has always struggled to fit in until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always adored.
Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan (aka Ms. Marvel.) The series is direct by Adil El Arbi and Billal Fallah. Bisha K. Ali is serving as head writer. The series is expected to launch in Summer of 2022.
Echo
Though little is known about this series calling Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, we do know you’ll find out more about the character in Hawkeye.
Ironheart
This series will star Dominique Thorn as Riri Williams, a genius investor who creates the most advanced set of armor since Tony Stark.

Secret Invasion
Samuel L. Jackson will be returning to the role of Nick Fury and is joined by Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos. The series will focus on a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years!
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
Though little has been said about this holiday special which is slated to make its debut in 2022, we do know that James Gunn will be at the helm so it’s gotta be good!
X-MEN ’97
This animated series from Marvel Studios will explore stories in the ’90s timeline of the original series. We do know that Beau DeMayo has signed on as head writer.
What If…? Season 2
This fan-favorite animated series will be back for another season. After enlisting the Guardians of the Multiverse to stop Infinity Ultron, The Watcher returns to meet new heroes and explore more strange new worlds in the MCU’s ever expanding Multiverse.
The series will be directed by Bryan Andrews with AC Bradley as head writer. r.
Spider-Man: Freshman Year
This animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU with a journey unlike anything fans have see before. We’re told that the aesthetic of this show will take the characters back to early comic book roots. Jeff Trammel has signed on as head writer.
I Am Groot
One of our favorite guardians returns in this series of original shorts that explore Baby Groot’s glory days growing up and getting into trouble. The shorts will be directed by Kirsten Lepore.
Marvel Zombies
Last but not least is an animated series from Marvel studios that reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battles again a zombie scourge. The series will be direct by Bryan Anderews.
