Disney+ Day Gives Us First Look At Marvels ‘Ms. Marvel’
With a plethora of announcements and reveals coming via Disney+ Day, we have officially gotten our first look at Marvel’s Ms. Marvel series.
One of the comic world’s most beloved characters, the young Kamala Kahn is officially stepping into the MCU; making the debut in her very own Disney+ series.

One of the most anticipated series in Marvel’s recent slate of projects, the story of Kahn is one of the more beloved by fans.
Despite the character’s rather young existence in the canonized world of Marvel Comics, Ms. Marvel has at times been point divisiveness, but often a point of inclusion and adoration for fans.

The series gives us many first looks at the character, including showing off one of Kahns’ pinnacle traits in the comic universe; her love of Captain Marvel.
In the comics, Kahn is a fully-fledged, bonafide, superhero-obsessed teenager; with her fandom always front and center in the character’s development.

Part of what always made Kahn such a spectacular hero was that she felt so real in her adoration and obsession with the world of superheroes; our very own world of comic book heroes.
The series seems to have wonderfully brought that aspect of her to life; while still remaining firm in another key aspect of the character, her faith.

Kamala Kahn was also incredibly religious, and so often represented the very real struggle between being a young American kid, and being from an incredibly devout, traditional, family.
The interplay between Kahn’s journey as a young super-powered individual, and her family’s devout Muslim faith, gave fans a very real representation of what it means to be a bicultural household; and the struggle that often engulfs the children of immigrants.

This series won’t be the first time that Kamala Kahn has maintained a strong presence in pop culture, however, as she was the main character in the incredibly popular Avengers video game; becoming the vehicle for the audience, and the catalyst for the Avengers reunion.
