Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort Will Be Celebrating Life Day Starting Tomorrow!
We’ve got a special treat for Star Wars fans. According to a recent piece in the OC Register, Disney will be bringing the fictional Life Day Celebration to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort.
For those unfamiliar, Life Day originated as a Wookiee holiday celebrated by those living on Kashyyk. It was an Earth Day of sorts that celebrated the planet. In addition it was a time to honor family members that had passed on as well as new children who bring new life to the family.
According to the piece in the OC Register, the Life Day holiday will be celebrated alongside other “real world” winter holidays at Black Spire Outpost. The celebration will begin on November 12th with Life Day itself being celebrated on November 17th.
We expect more details to be released over the next few days. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with us for further details.
One of the ways Black Spire Outpost will celebrate is through special food and drink., Here are a few highlights:
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo – Be sure to order up the Pork Broth Noodles with angel hair pasta, roasted pork, bok choy, mushrooms and yuzu-tomato compote in pesto-tonkotsu broth. $15.49.
Oga’s Cantina – Get the Pork Belly Slider Skewer on a bao bun with a zucchini sauce and Calabrian chili compote along with Zatar spice ($15) You can wash the whole thing down with the Gink-Huckleberry Cocktail mixted with elderflower liqueur and garnished with a hibiscus floer ($18.)
Kat Saka’s Kettle will have a Black Sesame Macaron with passionfruit buttercream and sesame praline for $5.49. Also on the menu will be the Potato Hand Pie served with mint-cilantro yogurt sauce and tikka masala spices ($6.79.)
Though Disneyland hasn’t celebrated Life Day for the last recently due to the COVID-19 scares and theme park closures, we’ve got a feeling that they will be pulling out all of the stops and that Chewbacca will be there to teach us the ways of his native planet.
