Main Street Marching Band Takes the Castle Stage!
Well here’s something we haven’t seen before. The Main Street Philharmonic Marching Band took to the Cinderella Castle stage today for a performance!
\We usually see the band marching down Main Street as part of cavalcades, parades, and other entertainment. But today our MickeyBloggers happened to be in the hub when the red and white clad musicians showed up on stage!
You can see a brief clip below as the band played the anthem for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, “The Magic is Calling”!
There was no scheduled performance on the showtime calendar so we aren’t sure if this was a rehearsal for part of a new stage show or a temporary location to be used during the Very Merriest After Hours experience that starts tonight. Or perhaps it was a one time performance just for grins, we may never know!
Whatever the reason, it’s always great to hear the Main Street Philharmonic with their nostalgic, swingy ragtime songs.
We’ll keep you up to date if we hear anything else about the band and if this performance is the start of something big!
