NEW: Disney+ Gift Cards Offer Discounted Price at Emporium
Along with an abudnace of apparel, home goods, and other holiday merchandise released this morning, shoppers at The Emporium at the Magic Kingdom also spotted a special surprise. For those looking to give the gift of Disney year-round, the shop now sells gift cards for one-year subscriptions to Disney+ for a discounted price of $79.99.
The sale is also available digitially through a promotion on the Disney+ website. For those looking for something tangible to include a stocking or package this year, the physical cards certainly add a nice touch.
“A Disney+ gift subscription is an easy way to give one year of Disney+ to someone special. When you purchase the gift subscription for $79.99, you’ll be paying for their first year of Disney+. After a year, they’ll have the option to add their own payment details and continue their subscription,” the Disney+ website currently states.
The incredibly popular streaming service typically costs $7.99 per month for users. Still, traditional users can also take advantage of the $79.99 rate on their own currently as well. It’s a savings of 20 percent over the course of the year.
Fans of Disney+ are currently preparing for Disney+ Day, which will take place next Friday. The day celebrates the streaming services’ expansion into Asia-Pacific markets on that day and the second anniversary of the platform.
“The inaugural Disney+ Day will be a grand-scale celebration of our subscribers across the entire company. This day of appreciation brings to life our mission to entertain, inform, and inspire fans and families around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, and will become an annual tentpole event to be amplified across our global businesses,” said Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer Bob Chapek in a release.
Make sure to check out the exciting line-up of releases for next week! It’s certainly going to be a stellar time for a Friday movie night at home.
