BREAKING NEWS: Indiana Jones Crew Member Dies On Location In Morocco
The latest film in the Indiana Jones franchise has been marred with difficulties since filming started. Adding to this is the sad news that a crew member recently passed away on location in Morocco.
Nic Cupac, a camera operator on the film died at the age of 54. He was found in his hotel room in Fes, Morocco according to a recent piece in the NY Post. IMDB credits Cupac for work on a variety of films including Guardians of the Galaxy, Solo, Cruella, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and more.
As of going to print, the cause of death has not been revealed thought it is reported that he died of natural causes.
According to insider reports, 100 crew members were on the scene in Morocco to film a major stunt scene involving a rickshaw.
This isn’t the first problem to plague the film. As the Post tells us, just last week the shooting schedule was up in the air when Morocco banned flights to and from the UK due COVID-19. Ford, was set to be in Morocco this week though currently his whereabouts are unknown.
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll also know that the production needed to be stopped in June when Harrison Ford, who is now 79 suffered a shoulder injury. Filming was only able to resume about two weeks ago. Several other delays also happened as a result of COVID.
The film was originally expected to hit theaters this past July. However, Disney has since pushed back the release date to next Summer before finally announcing that it wouldn’t open until 2023.
